The Criminal Investigations Department (Southern Division), The Major Crime and Serious Organised Crime Units of The Barbados Police Service have arrested and formally jointly charged two Christ Church men for a number of offences, including murder, which were committed on Sunday, January 12, 2025, whilst on the compound of the Rubis Service Station, Kirtons, St Philip.
Rushon Ramon Ricardo Gittens, 26 years old of Browne’s Gap, Sargeants Village and Shamario McDonald Kirton, 20 years old of Vauxhall #2, appeared today before Magistrate Manila Renee in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court charged with the murder of Mitch Boyce, serious bodily harm of Kevin Greenidge and endangering the lives of Christina Morris, Natisha Grazette, Melissa Darlington, Andre Bryan and Nico Greenidge. They were both charged with aggravated criminal damage and violent disorder
Gittens was charged separately with nine counts of use of a firearm to commit an indictable offence and possession of 12 rounds of ammunition.
Kirton was charged separately with nine counts of use of a firearm to commit an indictable offence, possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm on Thursday, February 27, 2025 and possession of 17 rounds of ammunition also on that same day whilst at Forde’s Road, St Michael
Both were remanded to The Barbados Prison Service (Dodds) to reappear Wednesday, April 9, 2025. (PR)
