MP Neil Rowe’s rape trial adjourned to April 7

The rape trial of Member of Parliament Neil Gabriel Rowe was adjourned yesterday (Tuesday, March 25) when it went back before Justice Pamela Beckles assigned to the No. 5 Supreme Court.

The judge is in the midst of a murder trial in which Rowe’s attorney Michael Lashley, KC, is also the defence counsel for one of the two accused.

The matter has been adjourned to April 7.

Rowe, 45, of Kingsland Terrace, Christ Church and the MP for St Michael North West, is accused of having sexual intercourse with a woman without her consent on September 18, 2022. He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned in June last year. 

The prosecutor is Principal State Counsel Olivia Davis. (AC)
