The Barbados Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department and Major Crime Unit have formally charged 46-year-old Richard Alexander Alleyne, of no fixed place of abode, in connection with a series of motor vehicle thefts and other offences committed over the past several months.
Alleyne faces a total of 29 charges, including:

Theft of motor car – belonging to Rivan Thomas between 31st July & 1st August, 2024.
Theft of motor car – belonging to Twain Hackshaw on 2nd August, 2024.

Alleyne appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court today.
He pleaded guilty to the charges within the District ‘A’ jurisdiction and has been remanded to Dodds Prison.
He is set to reappear in court to address additional charges in other jurisdictions.
