The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) has officially discontinued the High Surf Advisory for Barbados, effective immediately.
In a statement issued at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, the BMS indicated that the threat of large northerly swells and choppy seas along the island’s west coast has significantly diminished, prompting the end of the advisory.
While conditions have improved, members of the public are still urged to exercise caution and to utilise beaches that have on-duty lifeguards for their safety.
This advisory marks the final statement issued by the BMS in relation to this weather event. (BMS)
