Fogging Schedule: March 31 to April 4

The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness will resume its fogging programme this week in St George, after a short break.

The Unit will commence on Monday, March 31, in the following districts – Valley Drive, Constant, Walkers, Valley Nos. 1 and 2, Valley Close Nos. 1 and 2, Glebe Land, Valley Land, Valley Link Road, Charles Rowe Bridge, Valley Development with avenues and surrounding areas.

On Tuesday, April 1, the team will visit Charles Rowe Bridge, Exchange, Valley Land, Glebe Land Nos. 1 and 5, Rowans Park (left side), Rowans Park South, Foster Hall and environs.

The following day, Wednesday, April 2, the Unit will go into Lower Estate, Lower Estate Tenantry Road No. 1, Price Road, Harry Cox Road, Charles Rowe Bridge, Parish Land, Foster Hall, Airy Hill, Rowans, Flat Rock, Rowans Drive (left side), and Flat Rock Housing Area.

The team will turn its attention to the following communities on Thursday, April 3 – Neil’s Plantation, Salters Road, Salters Link Road, Charles Rowe Bridge, Lower Estate and neighbouring districts.

Fogging for the week will conclude on Friday, April 4, in Flat Rock, Flat Rock Tenantry, Moonshine Hill, Mayfield No. 1, Mayfield, Rowans Park East, Walkers Park East, Thorpes Cottage, Providence, Walkers Close, and Francia.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the fog.

Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time. (BGIS)
