Canadian Cricketer Nicholas Rasheed Kirton is on $100 000 bail to return to court on June 2 on four drug-related charges.
The Barbadian captain of the Canadian cricket team appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District “F” Magistrates’ Court today charged with importing, trafficking, supplying and possession of almost 20 pounds of cannabis worth about $71 000 on Sunday. He had been detained by police upon his arrival at the Grantley Adams International Airport on Sunday.
Kirton was represented by attorney Neville Reid, who is appearing in association Senior Counsel Angella Mitchell-Gittens.
