Hakeem Roberto Stuart, the man accused of the brazen shooting at Sheraton Centre that shocked the country last Wednesday, will appear in court tomorrow on two charges.

He will appear with 2016 Pic-O-De-Crop monarch Aziza Kebret Tsgaye Clarke, 23 of Unit 4, Bonnetts, Brittons Hill, St Michael who has been charged in connection with the crime.

Stuart, 21, of Shelbourne Gap, St Lawrence, Christ Church is accused of the murder of Damian Trotman of Foursquare, St Philip and with recklessly and unlawfully discharging a firearm in a public place, namely Sheraton Centre, placing a number of persons in danger of death or serious bodily harm.

Clarke is facing seven charges.

It is alleged that she knowing or believing that Stuart had committed murder, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse did assist him by transporting him in a motor car with the intention of impeding his arrest by police.

She is also charged with assaulting police to prevent her arrest and resisting police in the execution of duty. Clarke is also accused of damaging a pair of sunglasses valued at $120 belonging to Patrick Forde without lawful excuse.

Additionally, Clarke will have to answer to three traffic offences brought by police at Oistins. These are that as a driver she failed to stop at the sound of a siren of the approaching vehicle; that as the owner of MC92 she failed to register the vehicle with the Barbados Licensing Authority and the vehicle did not have car insurance.

The accused will both appear at the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
