UPDATE: Man dies after falling from breadfruit tree


A man who was critically injured after falling from a breadfruit tree Saturday morning has died.

Police said the man, known as “Winston Neverson” or “Garlic“, succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Around 7:40 a.m., the man went to New Orleans, St Michael to trim a breadfruit tree but fell from the tree and was injured. He was transported by ambulance to the QEH.

Police said they are still unclear about the man’s true identity and are encouraging anyone who can provide any information to assist with identifying him to call Central Police Station at 43o-7168.
