A 40-year-old man, who admitted to stealing $57.85 worth of items from Massy Stores, will know his fate when he returns to the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court in 28 days.
Gaylan Alphonso Marshall, of no fixed place of abode, pleaded guilty to taking the items from the store’s Worthing, Christ Church branch around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday without paying.
He was observed by a security guard committing the act and was searched.
When he appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today, Marshall admitted that he was given several opportunities at drug rehabilitation from another magistrate.
“I have a smoking problem,” he said, before the magistrate remanded him to HMP Dodds until October 3.
