Three granted $3,000 bail


COURT TODAY BLOCKThree men were granted bail yesterday after appearing before the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court.

Grantley Emmerson Jackman, a 58-year-old carpenter and Ismail Glenroy Rouse, 24, a tiler, both denied unlawfully assaulting Dave Husbands on February 5.

The accused, who both live at 8th Avenue, New Orleans, St Michael, were each granted $3 000 bail and told to return to court on May 9. They were also ordered to keep away from the complainant.

Meanwhile, Dwayne Alistair Marshall of 1st Avenue Gills Gap, Eagle Hall, St Michael appeared on two charges of assaulting Constable Darien Babb in the execution of his duty on February 9 and of causing a disturbance at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

He was also granted $3 000 bail and had his case adjourned until April 7.

All of the accused went before Magistrate Douglas Frederick.
