Nine and counting


Red House won some battles by capturing three division titles but it was nine-times champions Gold House that won the war by one point at Eden Lodge Primary School’s sports day held at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex, Paradise Park, St Michael today.

Gold House took the victory with 457 points when they won the final event of the day called the class race where classes one, two, three and four competed against each other in the 4x100m relay. Red House came second with 456 points, Orange House’s 347 points got them third position and Green House were fourth with 306.

Mckayla Lynch of Gold House was victrix ludorum with 38 points in the under-13 girls while Darnel Forde of Orange House also with 38 points captured the victor ludorum. Zaniyah Roach with a total of 43 points for Red House took the under-11 girls and Jayden Green of Orange House with 35 points claimed the boys’ title.

In the under-nine division Robyn Frederick of Red House tallied 28 points for the girls’ title and Romario Johnson also from the same house was the pick of the boys with 31 points. (ML)
