Schoolgirl on stabbing charge


A 14-year-old schoolgirl was due to appear in court here today to answer a charge of wounding a male student.
The teenager, who attends a secondary school in the north of the island, was arrested and charged with stabbing the young man who attends the same school in his upper back. The incident occurred yesterday on a bus on the Ronald Mapp Highway in the area of Redman’s Village, St Thomas around 4:45 p.m.
The male teenager was taken to the QEH by ambulance where he was treated and discharged.
He was stabbed with an instrument.
