Latin America, Caribbean Medal Count Reaches 17 AT IAAF World Championships

News Americas, EUGENE, OR, Mon. July 28, 2014: The Caribbean and Latin American medal count at the IAAF Junior World Championships continued to climb Sunday with a total of    17 among the regions.

Jamaica leads the regions with 6 medal followed closely by Cuba with 5. Ecuador has two medals – a silver and a bronze while Brazil, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados and Peru have one each.

Cuba, Jamaica, Brazil, Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago have a gold apiece while Peru has made the table with one Bronze medal.
