CaribWorldNews, MIAMI, FL, Weds. June 30, 2010: Fifteen Haitian migrants who tried to sneak into the U.S. illegally have been sent back by U.S. Coast Guards.
The U.S. Coast Guard repatriated the migrants Tuesday to Cap-Haitien, just days after they were found in a disabled go-fast boat off Florida`s Atlantic coast.
The Coast Guard says their 24-foot boat was found early Thursday about 15 miles off Cape Canaveral with a Jamaican national and a suspected smuggler also on board.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials took custody of the Jamaican and the suspect on Saturday. Authorities did not identify either person.
