Minister of Education Acting As Barbados PM


CaribWorldNews, BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Thurs. May 27, 2010: Barbados` Minister of Education and Human Resource Development, Ronald Jones, is now the island`s acting prime minister.

Jones was sworn in Wednesday morning by Governor General Sir Clifford Husbands at Government House, Government Hill, St. Michael. 

His swearing in to the post comes since Both Prime Minister David Thompson and Deputy Prime Minister and Attorney General Freundel Stuart, are out of the island.

Minister of Housing and Lands Michael Lashley, is now acting Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs. 

PM Thompson is in New York for medical tests.
