Trinidad Murder Rate Jumps Again


CaribWorldNews, PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, Fri. May 1, 2009: The murder rate in Trinidad and Tobago jumped past the 180 mark Thursday with the fatal stabbing of a 43-year-old man.

Arthur Billy from Darneau Street in Gasparillo is the country’s 181st murder victim for 2009. Billy was reportedly stabbed to death following an altercation with another man at a city street. His murderer remains on the lam.
